THE LAST DAY AT MYSTERY HIGH SCHOOL - EPISODE 44

Gladys stood at a side watching them. Seeing how happy they hugged each other gave her reasons to believe that their hug meant a lot.

With the smiles on their faces, things hoped to be wrong has turned out right. She took to her heels heading back to the building to report what she has just seen to Harvey.

She needs to let him know about what she has seen and they’ll have to come up with a quick plan before the worst happens.

Sharon and Louis on the other side broke free from their hour lasting hug. Louis couldn’t stop from smiling as it expressed how happy he really was. His eyes didn’t stop from staring at her, she looked happy and that’s exactly what he wanted.

Not that he didn’t want to be forgiven so soon, but her forgiving him surprised him. So soon? He mentally thought to himself.

He watched her as she walked round the decorated garden, admiring the beautiful works of his hand. He had just done a great thing asking her mother about her favorite things.

He just read her mind, knowing what she wanted at that moment. She wanted her mind to be eased. Those sad feelings and fears, the hatred and anger were all gone the moment she stepped her feet her.

” Louis,” she turned to look at him. ” Thank you. ” She said.

He chuckled.” For what?”

” For everything. ” She made few steps closer. ” Look, Louis, you definitely don’t know how happy I am for what you did. You gave me so many reasons to believe you. I know I hated you, yes, I doubted you but… ” She paused, not knowing how to say the words.

” Sharon, I understand. You know everyone would do the say if they were in your shoes. I would do the same if I were you. But you, it’s my fault too. ”

” No, it’s not. ”

” Yes, it is. Sharon none of this would have happened if I told you earlier. Harvey wouldn’t have made you believe his words, and your feelings wouldn’t have been hurt. I caused this, I did this to you because of my stupidity and now, I am paying for it. ”

” I don’t think you have to pay for it anymore. I was the one who believed them. I was a fool not to have seen it clearly, how effortlessly they want to implicate the whole stuff. But now I have, I don’t think I can be the same fool anymore.

And besides, I have forgiven you, you aren’t my enemy anymore, they are. ” She said, referring to Harvey and Nina. ” Well, I wasn’t thinking of bringing back the sad memories, I was only trying to express how happy I am. ” She smiled widely. ” You really did made my night.”

” You’re welcome. ”

” So, what do you intend to do now. With all this going on between you and your brother and your step mother and whosoever, have you come up with a plan yet? ”

” Honestly, I haven’t. But no matter what, all I do know and believe is that no one is taking you away from me. They did it once, not anymore. By the way, ” he asked, changing the topic. ” I saw a book beside you while in your room, what is it about? ”

” The book? ” She scoffed, ” Isn’t it the means your so-called step mother came up with in order to torture my life for her dirty agenda. ”

Louis bursted out laughing.

” Yeah, she’s trying to lecture me on how to behave like a crown princess this and that. Damn, I’m sick and tired of her rubbish. She’s being too rude and pushy towards me and I hate her for that. ”

” Everyone hates her for that, but don’t worry very soon you will get used to it, I promise. ”

” Used to what? Her? ” She scoffed. ” Louis, I can see you still have a long way to know what kind of person I am. ” She folded her hands across her chest.

” So, What’s in the book. ”

” It’s says how a crown princess should behave while walking or sitting down or talking to her husband you know, in the royalty style. ” Louis again laughed at how dramatic she was being.

” You know, you are funny. ”

She chuckled. ” I’m not. I think describing that book just made me one now.”

There was a brief silence, the wind was blowing calmly at their direction. Sharon would move the strand of her hair to the back as the wind played with her hair.

She was beginning to get use to Louis again, and to accept whatever reason it is for the both of them to be together. But with the Queen still around, what is she up to? She thought to herself.

And again, reading that shit if a book she called princess guidelines, is beginning to tire her the more each minute she thought about it.

She haven’t even gone one third of it yet and she promised was gonna ask her some questions from them? The worst part of it all is, the book isn’t even one or two, they were three of them.

And she also promised to report her to the king I she fails to have it read. That’s something she isn’t ready to face yet.

Why the heck is this happening to her? She thought again.

” Sharon? Sharon? ” Louis snapped her out from her thoughts.

” Yeah. Yes. ” She flinched like she was been brought out from a nightmare.

” You looked lost for a while, just wanted to check if you are okay. ”

” Yes, of course. I am. ” She nodded her head.

” Are you still bothered about my step mother? ”

She sighed heavily. ” Not just about your step mother, Louis, it’s about Harvey too and those who are with him. I’m scared of everyone. I mean, apart from you. With all this happening, I don’t think I’m safe here. ”

He held her hand tight, ” With me, you are. Like I told you earlier, no matter what plan they are up to, they’ll have to go through me first. ”

” I know but, they still think I have to get married to Harvey. I don’t love him. Although I did before but, not anymore. ” She stared at him with a worried look.

And deep inside those worried gaze, he felt weak to it. He was beginning to wonder how ready he was to protect her. Now she has known the truth, with her believing he was her mate, he needs to do whatever it takes to preserve her to himself.

Alone!

” Louis… ” She called in a whisper.

” Sharon, do you trust me? ” He asked, softly.

She nodded her head, ” Yes, I do. I trust you, Louis. ”

” Then you have no reason to be scared. ”

She pulled herself to him, hugging him like she has just found comfort in his arms. ” If you say so, then I have nothing to be afraid of. Thank you Louis, for caring. ”

” That’s my responsibility, ” he kissed her cheek. ” And also my duty. ”

Gladys on the other hand, hurriedly ran to Harvey’s room where he sat alone, pondering over a new plan. Peter and Paul were with him.

He stood up, pacing around the room, with one hand across his chest and another holding his jaw. Peter and Paul stared at themselves, they too weren’t able to come up with any either.

And since the previous day, they haven’t seen any sign of Nina yet.

He was so worried to death, that he couldn’t even touch his food. First his plan to eliminate Louis didn’t work out so well, and now, Sharon believes him.

Damn…! He cursed, causing Peter and Paul to shiver.

” Harvey, you’ve got to calm down and think.” Peter said.

” Calm down, you say? ” He scoffed. ” That dude is still alive, with Sharon and you expect me to calm down? ” He eyed him.

” We are only trying to help. ” Paul added.

” Help? That’s an understatement, Paul. ”

” With you pacing to and fro with a disturbed mind, you can never come up with a good plan. Even if you do, it’s not gonna work out well the way you want. So, for a perfect and a good plan, it needs a relaxed mind. ” Peter chipped in.

Harvey heaved heavily, seeing points to what peter had just said. He sat on his bed, breathing in a thousand times to get both himself and his mind calmed. ” You’re right, ” he acknowledged, ” I think I need some time to rest and think this through.”

Then a knock came on the door. The three of them looked at each other. ” Who’s that? ” Harvey asked.
