A LITTLE TOUCH OF ROSE - EPISODE 37
Rosita’s standpoint
I had never felt so compress by time before. I had work under pressure a lot of time before, but none had the lives of people I love hanging to it. The pressure on me was much because time was running out. Six days earlier, my brother was almost killed. Though he survived, there was the bad news of him never been able to use his legs for any strong activities like sports, exercise or even running on casual basic. The running side would heal as the years go by, but he would be in constant pain.
He also had a lot of fractured ribs and temporal memory lost. Even though he was yet to wake up, and even if he did he wouldn’t remember me and maybe everyone else, as long as he was alive. As for mom, Zelda and Brayleigh were the only ones who could give her the comfort she needed.
So technically, I spent the week trying to track the old man down. It wasn’t very easy when Zed had no name or address or even remember how he got to where the man lived. So we ended up coming to the only possible solution, going to the forest again and seeing if Zed could remember how he got lost and how he found the secret temple.
So far, we were stuck, completely lost because somebody had a very bad memory. Luckily, we found a small abandoned traditional house. It was quite damaged, but better than staying out under the rain. The place was somewhere in Shanghai, deep into a woods I didn’t know was so deep. It was quite close to Zhejiang, but not that close.
Yes, we were in China.
I shrugged my shoulders, adjusting my fur coat. It was really cold and it was a good thing I brought the coat. Zedekiah was trying to make the fire hotter, though he wasn’t succeeding. Romi was just watching him with amusement. Romi carne along because we needed her.
“I’m back, brought more firewoods that aren’t wet,” I said, looking at Romi smugly. She shrugged. I sat beside Zed and put the woods down at my feet. He was cold, I could see the hair on his skin erect and his body shaking slightly. “Zedekiah,” I said, taking off the coat I wore, “put this on,”
“What about you? You can get cold…”
“Rosita can handle the cold better than you can, she was trained to.” Romi answered for me. I gave her a grateful smile in which she responded with a wink.
“Either way, I’m suppose to be protecting you, not the other way round,” he said sadly, still stubbornly pushing the coat back to me. I rolled my eyes. Since we embark on the journey, he had been feeling bad about me being the one doing the protecting. It started after he almost got bitten on the neck by a snake.
The huge yellow and white snake was hanging on a tree, coming closer to him to bite his neck. It was a good thing I came on time and buried a knife into it small skull.
“Zedekiah, you cannot wish for something that is already present. I was trained to be this, Zed, you weren’t. Stop feeling bad about me being stronger, it makes no difference. Beside, you are strong to be able to hold up to me all these years,” I said with a small smile. He didn’t buy it, he huffed and pushed the coat back to me again.
“The least you can do is allow me to be the good boyfriend and let you wear the coat,”
“What is the point when you are colder than I am?” I laughed, “Zedekiah, stop being like this, you are making me feel bad. Or do you want us to break…”
“No! Jeez, Jem, anything but that!”
“Then wear the damn coat and relax, I’ll be fine. At least you can cuddle me and fill me with your warmth. That is one of the things I can’t do myself,” his lips stretched into a wide smile and he nodded vigorously. He took the coat, slipped it on and wiggled his arms. I shifted closer to him and let him hold me so he’d feel better.
“Zedekiah, tell me how you met the old man,”
“Well,” he said and zoned out, trying to remember, “I was fifteen then, mom brought me here for a vacation. I don’t remember how I ended up lost, but I did get lost. I remember this house,” he opened his eyes and looked around the house, “it was old then but not this old. It was here I saw an older man but not that old. When he saw me, he offered me a place to sit and rest for a while, not until he saw my back.”
“What’s on your back?” I asked curiously.
“No idea. He just got into shock and the next thing I know, he ran inside and made a call, shouting something in a language I don’t understand. It almost sounded like really old Chinese. I didn’t mind, I went to bed but woke up to the see the old man trailing his fingers on my back. Of course I was scared shitless,” he said with a nervous laugh, “one look at him and I knew he was powerful and had some kind of magic,”
“How did he look like?” Romi questioned.
“He wasn’t bald,” he gave her a pointed look which made her giggle, “he actually had long white hair. His hair was so full and long I thought he was a woman wearing a man’s clothing. He did look like a woman. I tried to run away but he assured me that it was okay, that he wasn’t going to hurt me. Then he said… Ah, what did he say?” Zed scratched the scruff of his neck as he thought hard on it.
“Zed, please, remember,” I pleaded desperately.
“Hmm, you are soulmate to the overly blessed by the first of the seven ancient oracles. It’s not everyday someone like you shows up at my doorstep. That was what the old man said,”
The seven oracles, I knew it as part of our family history. In the past when witches and all those magic things exist, seven family took care of seven powerful oracles. My family was assigned to care for one of the strongest three, if not one, the strongest. We don’t really know much about the rest six, except for the fact that the families dropped theirs when the oracles started losing their magic. But my family didn’t. Instead, they entered a covenant with it and sealed it with a new last name. That is how we became us. But I was also aware that two families still held on to theirs, though one entered a covenant to be long generational singers.
It would surprise you to know that Odin’s family was that one. The reason why his father owns Gempire even if Meena’s and Darra’s father were co vice presidents. It is also the reason why it is a must that one of them but be a singer and continue the name or the covenant would be broken. Why do you think Odin, Yuki, Darra, Meena and I easily vibe well? When the crisis years ago happened to Gempire, it was their Oracle weakening so to strengthen it, Odin’s ancestor added Meena’s and Darra’s. That way, when one child from each family continue the music lineage, the oracle would remain strong. Meena’s and Darra’s family didn’t know about the oracle though; just the strong urge to continue the legacy.
“This old man, did he have any symbol on him?”
“His attire had it, I can’t describe…” Romi’s eyes lit up and a hologram of all seven oracle crest displayed. “Hey! That’s Odin’s family crest!” Zed exclaimed with a wide smile. I nodded but pause my lips. It was better he didn’t know because even Odin didn’t. The only ones permitted to know about the oracle was the head of the family; the president of Gempire and the oldest man. So until Odin took over Gempire, he wouldn’t know and I didn’t want Zed to know either.
“That’s yours, isn’t it?” He pointed at mine. Mine was some kind of rose with flaming angel wings and thorns that wrote our family’s first and original name then combined it with our new one.
“Yeah,”
“That one,” he pointed to the one that was an open book with golden dust falling off it. There was a writing on the book and the front cover had a weird symbol on it.
“Of course, the symbol of the keepers,”
“Huh?”
“The keepers are the servants of the third oracle; the oracle of knowledge. They know everything about each oracles and are servants of it. They act as the mouthpiece of all. You’ll think it’s impossible since they serve one, but the third oracle is the first one created though the third in terms of power. So as the eldest, it looks after the youngest and when the custodians of the rest oracles can’t communicate with theirs or are having problem, the keepers help them. It is them who told the families what to do to keep the life of the remaining six, but only two did what we did.”
Zedekiah blinked his eyes dumbly. I forgot he had no idea about the oracles, I didn’t tell him any of it.
“I’ll explain that part later. What else did he say?”
“Nothing, just told me to follow him. He took me to a temple, close to a river like brook. Then, he said something about my symbol not supposing to show or it may cause me bad luck. So he poured something on my back and men was it painful! I passed out and when I woke up later, he told me that my soulmate would face something in the future, a mistake in the codes of her oracle. She would need to break it and when that time comes, I’ll remember him, blah blah,”
Okay, he was expecting me, which meant he probably knew I was here already. The possibility of having a soulmate felt like a dream but I knew it wasn’t. Everyone have a soulmate, every single human in this world. It’s just that only few are lucky enough to meet that soulmate and end up with them. Many meet the soulmate and still lose them over one mistake or the other. I almost lost him, but I fortunately didn’t.
Romi stood up, her eyes turning green. “Processing. My censors is picking up life matters coming from east-northeast, permission to investigate.”
“It’s raining, Romi,”
“I’m a waterproof machine, don’t worry about me, Rosita. I will further search to locate the temple and be back for you both, be safe.”
“Alright, Romi, you too,” she bowed, stood up and walked away. I watched her until she disappeared into the rain. The silence fell on Zed and I. Only the cracking of the fire filled the air, coupled with our gentle breathing.
I was aware of his eyes on me, but I ignored it by hiding my face in his chest. He wanted answers, ones I needed to give but was too tired to give. He let me take my time, listening to the fire and letting me enjoy the music of his heart.
“I don’t have magical powers if that is what you are worried about,”
“I wouldn’t say I’m worried, I think it’s cool,”
“Too bad but I don’t have magical powers. The covenant was mainly to keep it alive because our family from the beginning of our time had always taken care of it. We don’t serve it like some gods, no, never from the start. It was more like the tradition for our family, the one that kept us together. Unlike the other families, the oracle and us were friends, at least that is what the history said. But when the oracles started dying, the head of the family then didn’t want to drop it like the others did. It wasn’t because of the success it gave, I think they were really in sync. So, it covenant was for it to live in every of the heir and make them stronger.”
“Stronger, how?”
“Strength, agility, reflexes, fast healing but completely natural. Intelligence, good luck. That’s just it.”
“So without the oracle, your family is nothing.” He said as a matter-of-fact. But that is where he was wrong. At first I thought it was the oracle, but looking back to our history before we merge with the oracle in a covenant, we had always been warriors. Yes, we later became assassins, but we were always naturally quick on our feet, intelligent, and strong. The oracle just made it much more difficult to die.
“Not exactly. It just made it much more difficult to die. Now I think of it, I believe the first placed a wrong rule against love. I don’t know why, but I guess we would find out soon.”
“Do you want to drop it?” He asked. I laughed lowly and shook my head.
“The covenant is unbreakable,” which it really was. I didn’t want to think too much, I really just wanted to get rid of the cold and think of him alone. So to stop him from trying to convince me into something that wouldn’t work, I lifted myself up to my knees, threw my leg over his and sat on him.
“How about we do something more fun? The antidote to this cold?” I suggested with a sly smirk. He chuckled, his lips slowly reflecting my smile.
“I didn’t bring a condom with me, Rosita,”
“Good thing I took some precaution to ensure that a baby never slips in without my knowledge,” I placed my hands on his shoulders and looked down at his growing excitement, “you are easy to excite.”
“You are fucking hot, sue me if I get too excited,” I pushed my hands into the coat and pushed it off his shoulders. I sexily took the coat off him and wiggled on his erection. “Keep doing that and you won’t like how I would react,” he threatened playfully.
I pulled him in for a deep kiss and to feel his clothed body pressed against mine. He pushed me back a little so his hands could explore between my thighs. I thought he forgot I was still wearing my leather pants. But surprisingly, his skilled hand still found a way pass my tight pants and into my sex.
I moaned into his mouth, something that made him moan too, a moan that sent delightful shiver down my spine. His other free hand pulled me back to his stiffness and rocked me on it, coupled with the hot tongue in my mouth and his fingers in my sex, I couldn’t control the rush to take off every obstacle in our way.
He removed his lips from mine and trailed his kisses down my neck, along my shoulder as he pushed the strap of my corset top down while the other opened the top through the back zipper. Once the top was discarded, he unclasp my bra while I unbutton his jeans and pulled both it and his boxers down, revealing his very hard cock. There was always this pause of hesitation when I see him naked. Not that I was scared, it just felt like a dream to me that he was the one I was seeing. I knew with time I would get use to being with him.
I stood up and drop my pants and panty, letting the bra strap slip off my shoulders since he already unclasp it. I kicked my pants off and sat back on him. “Not today, cupcake,” he chuckled, planting a kiss on my forehead, “you are not being on top,” I knew what that meant for me and I dreaded it.
Sex with Zed was already good, but I was still getting use to his gymnastics in bed style. It was great but all the twisting was… Well, overwhelming. It also meant he would probably go on until I collapse completely. Like I mentioned, with time, I would get use to him. Just not yet.
“Zedekiah,” I whined, “you promised to take it easy with me, I’m still learning and getting use to everything,”
“I know. And there’s not an actual bed here so calm down, just basic and regular sex, no craziness,” he promised. I gulped which he heard and laughed, “Jem, calm down, okay?”
“Okay,” I murmured. Not being a virgin was fun, but having to deal with an over active boyfriend wasn’t easy. I mentally slapped myself every time I remember how many times I insulted his manliness. And I knew that deep down, he was intentionally doing it to make me pay.
He wrapped my legs around his waist and laid me down on the blanket I laid out earlier. My heart hit against my ribcage as I fearfully awaited one of his evil twist, but he surprisingly kept to his words. I watched with an amaze expression as he ease his stiffeness into me. What was more amazing was how satisfied I was from hearing the pleasure in his breath.
The moment he was completely soaked in my wetness, he exhaled heavily with a moan mix in it. I would never get use to the expression he makes every time he ease into me. In fact, I would never get use to being with him.
Like he always did for his first thrust, he slowly and sexually glide out of me to his tip, rolling it about to warn me to expect what follows. I’d gotten used to reading his first moves. I held my breath in anticipation for what to come next, the long torture of enduring the hollowness and need to cling on to him before he rammed back into me very hard. I squeaked and let the heavy breath out, my eyes stinging from tears of pleasure before I let out a throaty laugh.
“You okay, Jem?” His next action: make sure I am okay.
“You really need to stop doing that,”
“But I know you love it, as much as you love my cock,” step three, talk dirty and bring his lips to the sweet spot between my breasts. I had a spot there that drove me crazy during sex. Step four, do step one again before step five, continue to ram me with all his might until I’m a crying-moaning-name screaming mess.
My eyes had long rolled back and refuse to resurface. How could it when I had long fallen into the euphory of our unity. Step six. When his meat starts to twitch, open my eyes to watch him enjoy the view of my breasts bouncing because he loves it and knows that I love it too.
I stared at my own breasts bouncing insanely with a smile, getting turned on by the view and the fact that he was watching me, fucking me harder and harder and pushing on to step seven: pull my hair and kiss me passionately, throwing all his love and affection into the kiss. At the same time, manipulate my clit and go even harder.
I heard onto him as my legs flew into the air on their own, in respect of the pleasure bursting through me as I climax hard and almost unendingly, screaming his name. He pumped his cock for more orgasm from me, riding through mine as it pushed him to his own. He pulled me up, flipping us over so I’ll straddle him. It was his own way of controlling himself from going gymnast on me.
I almost awned from how hard he was trying to control himself. His tool was pulsated aggressively, seeking release. I smirked as I pulled myself out of him, his eyes widening before he understood what I was doing. I slowly and sexually lowered myself onto his hard meat. His eyes watched my every move, his lips twitching as if fighting a smile or a moan.
I slowly swayed my hips to ride him, knowing fully well it always left him in a daze for reasons best known to him. I rest my hands on his chest, sliding it up and down as I continued to ride him. I swung my head to flip my hair behind me, so it wouldn’t block his view of my breasts. His marveled expression came next. Every time I rode him, he would always stare at me with disbelief. Just like me, he still couldn’t believe we were actually together.
Then came the moment to soak in the pleasure. He moaned loudly, throwing his head back as his hand reached forward and grabbed my hair. There was something about the way he pulled my hair that excite me. Maybe because I knew he loves pulling my hair.
I whimpered when I felt the pressure building up unbearably. I was close, really close. And with how hard he was twitching down there, he was close to. He cursed when my walls squeezed him harder, while I moaned. Like expected, he took over and thrust himself upward, going for my ultimate weak spot.
I clenched down harder on him, determine not to fall first, but when he continued to hit that spot over and over again, my eyes pooled as it became unbearable. He exploded in me, spooging his hot cum in me as I simultaneously came.
“I can’t move,” I laughed. My thigh muscles had stiffen from the powerful orgasm. He laughed too as he slowly lowered me down. Sometimes it happened like that to me. He pulled out of me and sent his hands to my thigh and massage my thighs to release the stiffness.
“Your hair is a mess,” he said chucklingly.
“No shit, Sherlock,” I rolled my eyes. After freeing the muscles, he laid down next to me and cuddled me hard. The once cold atmosphere didn’t feel cold anymore. But we weren’t foolish enough to sleep naked.
“I want to ask you some questions, Jem, don’t feel awkward about it?”
“Okay…?”
“How well do you love my dick?” He asked and even though I couldn’t see his face since mine was staring at his chest, I knew he was grinning. I rolled my eyes as he began to laugh, the sound booming from deep his throat and chest. “I’m going to conclude and say very. But that wasn’t the main questions. Jem, if I should ever propose to you, how would you want it to be?”
“Don’t propose to me, Zed, I’ll reject you,” I said seriously.
“Calm down, I said if I should, meaning in the future. Do you like public proposal or private one?”
“Private, definitely private.”
“Cheesy or not cheesy?”
“Crazy,” I smiled, remembering the time I thought about him proposing to me while we both go sky diving.
“Crazy, how crazy?”
“Sky diving crazy,” I giggled, “or any crazy thing,” I shrugged.
“Noted. When would you be ready for marriage and children?” He stopped breathing, I knew he did. He wasn’t ready but he just wanted to know.
“I’ll be ready for marriage when I turn twenty five and as for children, any time above twenty three. Zed, if you notice, my family don’t get children much. My father was an only child, his father was an only child, his father’s father’s was an only child and so on. And guess what, I am my father’s only child. My father is even the first to get a child at such early age. I’m sorry but my family isn’t really lucky with children.” I confessed, though not sadly because I wasn’t going to get sad about something I’ve always known from day one.
“So,” he gulped, “we can start working on making babies or baby when you turn twenty three?” I nodded. He exhaled sadly. “You do know my family have the same problem, don’t you? We getting a child might not happen, Rosita, at least not anytime soon.”
“For now, let’s not think about it,” and that we did. I let myself fall into the warmth his embrace gave and surrender to sleep. Well, not until Romi’s voice chirped in my ears.
“Rosita, yours truly have located the dwelling of the oracle!”
